Los Angeles, California synth pop duo The Midnight returned on October 4th with their new album, Syndicate, via Ultra Records.
“Friction” is a lead single and standout track from the album that features the bands trademark 80s neon-tinted synth pop sound that just begs to be blasted at night while you’re speeding down a barren highway. A huge vibrant scope that is life-affirming and feels like a blend of The Killers and The Weekend with a hypnotic flare of its own – it is just begging to be used in the next inevitable Cobra Kai spinoff. In a just world, this would be the sort of song that would be playing non-stop on the radio.
