si,irene are a Japanese indie rock band who we discovered through their newly shared single “White Eyes”.
It’s a blend of experimental indie rock with a 90s presence that blends shoegaze and garage rock elements into something oddly soothing and lush in its cathartic nature, while also blending more noise-induced qualities feels like a blend of Sonic Youth and Slowdive. It finds many moments quiet introspection with a swift graceful touch that bookended by the more experimental tones that give the track a distinct dimension.
