Last week, Grandbrothers finally unveiled their long awaited 5th studio album Elsewhere, and I was completely enamored by exceptionally moving piece “Cypress”.
With classical music at it’s center, Grandbrothers’ Elsewhere is adorned with influences from UK garage, IDM, and melodic house – creating a truly dynamic listening experience from start to finish. One of the standout moments was the piano-driven track “Cypress”, a journey that’s full of surprises through key changes and breathtaking solos. The subtle strings in the backdrop add to the track’s emotional impact while the beefy bass presence grounds “Cypress” with power.
